RAGNAR ÓLAFSSON

Founder - Chairman

Ragnar is an entrepreneur and the founder of the company. He owned and operated trawl fleet in Iceland for over 30 years. Ragnar was also the inventor of the original design of D-TECH’s misting system in collaboration with Samey.

EINAR MÄNTYLÄ

PH.D. - MBA

Einar is the CEO of Audna/TTO Iceland. Einar has a PhD in Molecular Genetics and an MBA in Innovation & Business creation from the Technical University in Munich, Germany. Einar has three decades of international experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology and the Biomedical industry, and has also worked as an entrepreneur with Innovation Management, Strategy and Business Development. Before joining TTO Iceland Einar was the Innovation Manager at the University of Iceland (UoI) and is a past Board member of The Science Park of UoI and several spin-offs. Einar is an entrepreneur and the co-founder and past manager at the biotech company Orf Genetics.

MARGRÉT GEIRSDÓTTIR

M.Sc.

Margrét has been working at Matis – previously Icelandic Fisheries Laboratories – from 1998 were her main research areas have been utilization of proteins, mainly fish proteins from underutilized raw materials. Her research work includes isolation of proteins, their hydrolysation and evaluation including their properties and use in products ranging from surimi to nutraceuticals. She holds BSc degree in chemistry and food science from University of Iceland and a MSc degree in Food Science, from KVL Frederiksberg Denmark (now part of University of Copenhagen).

ÞORVALDUR S KRISTJÁNSSON

M.Sc.

Þorvaldur has worked in the financial industry for the past 15 years. Currently he works as a business control manager at Icelandair as well as the chief financial officer for D-Tech. Prior to that Þorvaldur worked independently as a financial advisor for multiple companies in Iceland. Þorvaldur has a M.Sc. in Investment Management from the University in Reykjavik and is a certified securities broker in Iceland.
